I Am An Architect

The class covers the foundations of pictorial art, closely focusing on the mechanics of drawing and painting with pencil, oil pastels and watercolors. Drawing and painting subject matter varies from portraiture to realistic landscapes to fantasy-based imaginary worlds. Class instruction and techniques stimulate kids imagination and build confidence in expressing themselves on paper. Students’ attention is drawn to the techniques of painting with a brush and watercolor paints, as well as drawing in pencil and oil pastels on paper. During class we also explore such topics as color balance, perspective, foreground and background objects and other art basics.
